TAVI Treatment

TAVI Treatment

If you are suffering from severe aortic valve disease and experiencing symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness, dizziness, or fatigue, TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) can be an effective solution to restore your heart function and improve your quality of life.

TAVI is an advanced minimally invasive heart procedure designed to replace a narrowed or damaged aortic valve without the need for open-heart surgery. This modern technique helps restore normal blood flow from the heart to the body and significantly reduces the risk of serious complications.

At our clinic, we specialize in providing advanced TAVI treatment, using modern technology and expert interventional cardiology techniques to ensure safe and effective outcomes for patients.

Why Choose TAVI Treatment?

01
Minimally Invasive Procedure
TAVI does not require open-heart surgery, making it a safer option for elderly patients or those with high surgical risk.
02
Faster Recovery
Most patients recover quickly and can return to normal activities much sooner compared to traditional surgery.
03
Improved Quality of Life
Relieves symptoms such as breathlessness, fatigue, and chest discomfort caused by aortic valve disease.
04
Reduced Surgical Risk
Especially beneficial for patients who may not be suitable for conventional valve replacement surgery.

What is TAVI?

TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) is a minimally invasive procedure used to replace a diseased or narrowed aortic valve in patients suffering from aortic stenosis. Instead of traditional open-heart surgery, a new artificial valve is delivered through a catheter inserted via a blood vessel, usually through the groin (femoral artery). The new valve is positioned inside the damaged valve and begins functioning immediately, improving blood circulation and relieving symptoms.

The goal of TAVI is to restore normal valve function and improve the patient’s overall heart health with faster recovery and minimal surgical risk.

How is TAVI Performed?

Patient Preparation

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia or mild sedation. The catheter insertion site is cleaned.

Catheter Insertion

A thin catheter carrying the replacement valve is inserted through a blood vessel, usually in the groin.

Valve Placement

The new valve is guided to the heart and positioned inside the diseased aortic valve.

Valve Deployment

Once correctly positioned, the new valve expands and begins functioning immediately.

Who Needs TAVI?

TAVI is recommended for patients who have:

Severe Aortic Stenosis : A condition where the aortic valve becomes narrowed and restricts blood flow from the heart.

Symptoms of Valve Disease : Shortness of breath, chest pain, fatigue, dizziness, or fainting episodes.

High Surgical Risk: Patients who are not suitable candidates for open-heart valve replacement surgery.

Elderly Patients: TAVI is often preferred for older patients who require a safer and less invasive treatment option.
